How It Started

Back in 2022, three seasoned pros - Zaheer, Faz, and Jérôme - got together with a big dream: to give South African SMEs the boost they deserve. They knew that access to funding was a major roadblock for so many businesses, especially in the agri and food sectors.

And just like that, Pumpkn was born! We're on a mission to unlock over $1 billion in funding for 100,000+ African SMEs by 2030. We're talking about real impact, real change.Our team's grown fast, with passionate folks like Ben, Olu, Mario, Yanga, Tash and our awesome interns Audrey and Azra joining the cause.

With over 170 SMEs already on board and a funding pipeline bursting at the seams, we're just getting started!. Plus, we've got some incredible backers, including successful founders like Aisha and Allen from SweepSouth and Lungisa from Yoco. Talk about good company!
